0 / 100,000 characters

Up to 100,000 characters and 500 lines per text.

We compare lines, including spaces, tabs and Unicode characters. CRLF, CR and LF line endings are treated alike. This does not check file integrity or the accuracy of the content.

Up to 100,000 characters and 500 lines per text. This is not a visual PDF comparison.

How to find differences between two texts

  1. Paste the original and updated text, or try the example.
  2. Select Compare to find added and removed lines.
  3. Check line numbers and show whitespace when reviewing small changes.
Are spaces or special characters ignored?

No. Spaces, tabs, case and Unicode are preserved. Only Windows, macOS and Linux line endings are normalized so they do not count as differences on their own.

Does it compare PDFs, formatting or images?

No. It compares pasted text by line, not document layout or bytes. To check whole files, use Compare files.

Is pasted text stored?

It is not sent to a server or stored in your account. It lives in this page; save anything you need yourself before closing it.

Need to know whether two files are identical?

File comparison uses the complete bytes, not just visible text.
